TRAVERSE CITY -- Some nursing homes are taking extra precautions after cases of the Norovirus seem to be making their rounds.

Glen Eagle Retirement Community and Health Care of Traverse City and Tendercare have seen a few dozen cases of what they say appears to be the Norovirus. The cases started showing up around January sixth and workers at the homes say visitation was restricted, public meals were cancelled, and sick residents were confined to their rooms.

Buildings are currently *not* quarantined by the health department.
