EVART -- A popular snowmobile trail is reopening earlier than expected after some repairs. The Department of Natural Resources announced Tuesday that the Pere Marquette Rail-Trail Bridge over the Muskegon River, located east of the city of Evart, has reopened. The bridge was supposed to be closed until December 31, but the contractor finished work early. This project was funded by a federal grant.
