Sugary drinks on the rise and so are waistlines

More Americans are drinking sugar sweetened beverages than ever before. A new study from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health finds over the past two decades, the amount of sugary sodas, fruit juices and punches Americans drink has dramatically increased. The number of people drinking these beverages has gone up five percent since 1988, with young adults making up the largest percentage. The study also found these the highest consumption of these sugary drinks is among populations at the greatest risk for obesity.
