PETOSKEY -- Monday night the Petoskey City Council voted four to one to allow the developers of the Petoskey Pointe Project two more years to complete the project. According to Mayor Dale Meyer there are strict guidelines in place for the developer to secure financing by March 30th and to begin construction by June 1st. Mayor Meyer says the agreement also allows the city the availability of buying the parking deck, free public bathrooms, and $100,000 toward legal costs. The original deadline for the project was November 3rd at which time the city council deemed the developer to be in default.
