Dan Scripps has been sworn in to office as State Representative for the 101st House District. That district covers Benzie, Leelanau, Manistee and Mason counties. Michigan Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Weavor swore in Scripps Monday. The Democrat beat Republican Ray Franz by about 20 percent of the vote. Scripps will begin his term when the 95th Legislature convenes in January
