Traverse City's new City Manger Ben Bifoss had his first day Monday. The final decision to choose Bifoss as the city manager was finalized at the end of October. Bifoss is the former city manager for Manistee. Tenative salary talks set his salary at $90,000 a year with an $8,000 pending a six month review. The Traverse City Commission will be meeting Monday evening which will be Bifoss' first official meeting.
