TRAVERSE CITY -- Students and staff at Eastern Elementary School are holding their annual Peace Maker Winter Clothing Drive. Students say taking part in this kind of service is a learning experience. Fourth grader Ann Gerstner says, "when you're outside you're just helping people and when you're doing the coat drive you are helping your community- it makes me feel good." Community members are asked to donate clean, gently used outdoor clothing and boots at the Eastern Elementary School office through November 24th. The winter gear will be donated to the Goodwill Inn and passed out at the community Thanksgiving meals at the end of the month.
