Police say the victim is an 11 year old girl

"It's sickening.  Just sickening.  I can't believe anybody would do that to a little eleven year old girl," says Farwell resident James Conlay.  Farwell residents say they still can't believe someone would kidnap and sexually assault an eleven year old girl in their little community.  "I mean, I've got five boys.  From the ages of 13 to 10 and that makes me nervous that it could happen in this neighborhood.  People are calling each other making sure their windows and doors are locked," says Conlay.  James Conlay was coming home from work at around 8:30 on Saturday morning when he found out that the 11 year old daughter of his neighbor was missing.  Conlay still remembers trying to comfort his neighbor when the young girl came running home.  "She looked very cold, her hair was soaking wet, she was wearing a hoody sweatshirt with flip flops with no socks on and it looked like sweat pants.  She looked very cold and wet."

Conlay then remembers hearing the sickening news that someone had kidnapped this girl and sexually assaulted her.  "Well the mother ran after her little girl and walked up to her, asked her if she was okay.  What happened?"  "In 21 years of law enforcement this is one of the worst cases I've been involved with," says Michigan State Trooper Chris Stolicker.  Stolicker says the suspect in this case actually followed the girl home after he sexually assaulted her.  Now Justin Gaskill will face five felony charges, three of which carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.
