11 percent remain undecided on Proposal 2
LANSING (AP) -- A recent poll shows support and opposition about even for a ballot proposal to loosen Michigan's restrictions on embryonic stem cell research following an ad push on both sides.
Results released Friday of an EPIC-MRA poll conducted for The Detroit News and TV stations WXYZ, WILX, WOOD and WJRT found 46 percent of likely Michigan voters in support of Proposal 2, 43 percent against and 11 percent undecided.
The telephone poll of 400 likely voters conducted Sunday through Wednesday has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
An EPIC-MRA telephone poll conducted Sept. 20-22 showed 50 percent supported the Nov. 4 stem cell proposal, 32 percent against and 18 percent undecided.
That poll had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
