One of Grand Traverse County's high schools is working to get future generations input on development in northern Michigan. Adults aren't the only ones working to get the word out about the Grand Vision Plan. The Grand Vision is an attempt to get a perspective on how people in the region want the area to develop. Students at Traverse City West High School held an assembly last fall to inform students about the project. Now they are trying to get as many students as possible to participate. The students say they have also been working with the Social Studies Department and talking to parents at parent teacher conferences to get the word out to kids. Schools in all six counties involved in the Grand Vision Project are working in similar ways to get the word out.
