CENTRAL LAKE -- UPDATE: Central Lake Fire Department has determined that the fire started on the deck of one of the units.
A fire broke out in the North Street Condos around five pm on Tuesday. Central Lake Fire Department responded to the fire along with Bellaire District Fire Department and Banks Township Fire Department. All eight condos have some smoke and fire damage to them while one condo is 80% damaged according to Central Lake Fire Chief Bill Chapman. Chief Chapman says that all 11 residents along with any pets that were in the building escaped safely. Central Lake Fire Department is still investigating the cause at this time.
