KALKASKA COUNTY -- It's a tradition that spawned 76 years ago, the National Trout Festival and this weekend it continues in Kalkaska County.

Thousands of people came out for the 76th annual National Trout Festival on Saturday. Fishing is the main theme of this 5-day event and folks have the chance to enter several fishing competitions.

But there's more to the festival than just fishing including a flea market at the fairgrounds, carnival rides for kids and even an animal kingdom; complete with camel rides!

Despite this weekend's cooler temperatures, organizers say they are still seeing large crowds at the festival.

The fun continues on Sunday and for a full list of scheduled events CLICK HERE.
