TRAVERSE CITY --

Traverse City Area Public School buses were given the green light during safety inspections.

The Michigan State Police Department completed rigorous school bus inspections this month at TCAPS Transportation Department. One hundred and one TCAPS school buses were inspected over the course of five days.

Following the inspections, TCAPS received a 100% passing rate, with compliments from the state inspector, for the condition of TCAPS buses and the professional mechanics on staff.

TCAPS Chief Financial and Operating Officer Paul Soma stated, "We achieved this passing rate through the commitment and hard work of our bus technicians, our thanks to them for the part they play in keeping our students safe!"
