TRAVERSE CITY -- Tonight the Golden-Fowler Home Furnishings store in Traverse City is hosting a "Golden Evening of Style, Color, and Comfort."
100% of the proceeds from admission, silent auction, and the dream room votes will be donated to Child and Family Services of NW Michigan.
Restaurants in TC have donated food and catering services, community members are bringing in home-made goods, wine from Black Star Farms and beer from Right Brain Brewery will be served.
Many local artists will have their work on display, both in the rooms and up for grabs in the silent auction.
The new addition this year is the celebrity dream room classic. Golden-Fowler had six local celebrities each design their own dreamroom- the list includes Terri Ray (WKLT radio), Mike Estes (TC Mayor), Bill Marsh (Bill Marsh Auto Group), Raj Weiner (TC North Stars), Ron Jolly (WTCM Radio), and a mystery celebrity. The store encourages you to come out and vote for your favorite room!
You get three votes with the purchase of your ticket ($25 each/$40 couple) or votes are a dollar a piece. Votes will be taken throughout the weekend.
