TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Two neighborhoods in Traverse City are the beneficiaries of a new program that offers homeowners significant opportunities to save money on their energy bills.

The program, TC Saves, is a partnership between the City of Traverse City, Traverse City Light and Power, and two local non-profits, SEEDS and the Michigan Land Use Institute.

TC Saves was launched in October as part of BetterBuildings for Michigan's statewide effort to save homeowners money on their energy bills while increasing the comfort of people's homes. It is also designed to help create jobs in the field of energy efficiency, organizers said.
