Gerrish Township Police Department
Officers with the Gerrish Township Police Department are asking for assistance in locating a missing elderly Alzheimer’s patient. Bud Bonk, 75yr old male, 5’06 inches tall, 252 lbs. with gray hair and brown eyes. He left his residence in the Higgins Lake area around 08:00 a.m. on Friday July 8th, 2011. He was last seen driving his white 1994 Pontiac Bonneville four door. The vehicle in question is reported to be in good shape and has gold colored wheels. The vehicle registration plate is a Michigan Handicap plate of 0298J. He left his residence not telling anyone where he was headed and did not take any of his medications or personal belongings with him. At 10:00 a.m. this date he called home from a gas station in the Bay City Michigan area stating that he was headed to the Flint area. It’s been reported the subject has been having problems with memory loss as well as confusion over the past several months. Today is the first time he has driven his vehicle in several years.
