More businesses expanding in region
TRAVERSE CITY -- Over the past few years, we've seen many businesses close their doors due to the economy.
Now we're seeing signs of an economic upswing, companies in our region are expanding and hiring.
Grand Traverse Resort and Spa opened a storefront in downtown Traverse City. Besides showcasing its award winning spa, restaurant, and golf courses, the resort will also provide a shuttle service four times a day.
Grand Traverse Resort Public Relations Director, J. Mike DeAgostino says,” We’ll be bringing our guests downtown to shop in stores, dine, and experience the beauty of downtown. We'll also have an opportunity to bring people out to the resort and casino."
Kilwin's 81st and largest store is set to open in Petoskey on Friday.
Chief Designer, Ron Brunette says, "We have 20 people employed who weren't three weeks ago."
