A large grant will help the Grand Traverse Conservation District increase awareness and understanding of the ecology of the Great Lakes
The community will have new opportunities to learn about the importance of the Great Lakes with the help of a grant.
The Grand Traverse Conservation District was awarded $200,000 from the Great Lakes Fishery Trust for a grant under the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative.
The money will be used to help K-12 students and teachers work with local organizations to learn about and address environmental issues in the community.
