Chef Phil Murray shares his delicious Beef Tenderloin Tips recipe
TRAVERSE CITY -- "It's fast and delicious," says chef Phil Murray from Phil's on front in Traverse City. "It's a German dish... Sort of.'"
Phil is helping you create some of his favorite dishes in your own kitchen every week on UpNorthLive Tonight on ABC 29&8.
This week Phil is sharing his delicious and easy Beef Tenderloin Tips recipe:
Ingredients:
Sweet onions, chopped
Red peppers, chopped
Fresh mushrooms
Beef tenderloin tips (cut into approximately 1-inch cubes)
Salad oil
Dry sherry for flavoring
Beef stock
Salt & pepper
Cooking Directions:
Heat saute pan and add salad oil. Toss in beef tips, sear, and let flame. Let this flame quickly so outside crusts. Place cooked tips into bowl. Now put peppers, onions, and mushrooms into heated pan. Saute. Once seared, place meat tips back in and let flame. Add dry sherry, and let flame once more.
"I like dry sherry because it has a nice texture to it," says Phil.
Next, add beef stock to make gravy. Saute.
"This can go over a nice bowl of noodles or some rice," says Phil. "It really takes like three minutes to make."
Enjoy!
