TRAVERSE CITY -- Yesterday was a big day across the country as thousands of athletes signed their letters of intent, committing to continue their athletic career. Right here Traverse City, QB TJ Schepperly just agreed to continue his football career with Northwood University, but as a cornerback.

The TC Central Trojans gunslinger with the big arm and quick feet, is going to have to make the transition from offense to defense at the next level. Schepperly, who was instrumental in leading the Trojans to the playoffs this season, is ready for the challenges that his new position will bring.

Though the decision was up to him, Schepperly says that his family and friends were a huge influence on assisting him on choosing where he would continue both his athletic and academic career. TJ knows that the transition from offense to defense will be difficult, but he has already been working on some drills to prepare for life in the secondary.

Check out my sit down with Schepperly where he discusses football, coaching, and what he expects at the collegiate level.
