WEXFORD COUNTY -- A snow plow operator discovered an 18 year-old unconscious man lying in an alleyway behind Cadillac Plumbing and Heating this morning just after 6 am.

The snow plow operator alerted Cadillac Police who arrived and checked the area further to discover a 22 year-old man lying approximately 50 feet away.

The men were acquainted with each other and both victims were suffering from severe hypothermia and frostbite.

It appears the victims were overcome by the cold temperatures after drinking alcohol and proceeding to walk outside. They were transported to Mercy Hospital by North Flight EMS and later transferred to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids for further treatment.

No foul play is suspected.
