SAULT STE. MARIE -- Sherman Park in Sault Ste. Marie closed Wednesday because of an E. coli danger.

The Chippewa County Health Department says high bacteria levels are making the water unsafe for human contact. You should not go into the water at Sherman Beach or surrounding areas until the advisory has been lifted.

The health department will put out a notification once bacteria levels have fallen to a safe level again.
