The man who robbed the Traverse City Gander Mountain in April is sentenced to prison.

TRAVERSE CITY -- The man who robbed the Gander Mountain in Traverse City this past spring will spend up to a decade behind bars.

Jeffrey Hinson was sentenced Friday morning to spend 4 to 10 years in prison. He will also have to pay back $3,118 to Gander Mountain, along with $800 in court costs

Hinson walked into the Gander Mountain on U.S. 31 on April 5. He showed what the clerk believed was a gun, grabbed money and took off. He eluded deputies for 3 weeks before authorities were able to track him down.
