Inmate back behind bars in Cadillac after jail break

An inmate briefly escaped today from the Wexford County jail.

CADILLAC -- An inmate made a brief escape today from the Wexford County Jail. Sheriff's investigators say the inmate broke out around 6:11 p.m. Wednesday and was caught 50 minutes later.

The inmate was arrested without incident and will face additional charges for the escape. There has been no word yet on how the inmate was able to escape or what the person was in jail for in the first place.

More details are expected to be released Thursday.
