ACME TOWNSHIP -- A fruit processor in Grand Traverse County has been approved for an expansion by Governor Snyder that will soon bring more jobs to the area.

The governor created a zone approval for Shoreline Fruit's processing facility in Acme Township last night.

The $7.5 million dollar project will add up to 43,000 square feet of property to their existing facility which will allow them to utilize over fifty-million pounds of cherries annually.

The increased space will allow the company to create 45 more jobs over the next five years.
