Community honors fallen Marine

TRAVERSE CITY -- The body of a U.S. Marine from Mancelona arrived in Traverse City Friday.

People gathered on the streets leading from the airport to the funeral home in Mancelona. They were honoring Sgt. Jason Calo while showing support for his family.

Sergeant Calo died Sunday while supporting combat operations in the Helmand Province.

The 23-year-old leaves behind his wife Sarah, a 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son.

Visitation will take place Monday from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
