EAST LANSING -- The Cadillac Vikings took on Detroit Country Day Friday night in the State semifinals at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. Unfortunately, the Vikings fell short to Country Day, losing this one 42 to 73.

Classes were dismissed early Friday, so that Cadillac High School students and teachers could make their way to the game.

Coach Jeff McDonald tells 7&4 News that this is was the first time Cadillac made it this far into the tournament since 1927.

"We've been close the last couple years so it's nice to get over that hump," McDonald said.
