Mild temperatures and rain - hard to believe it's January! Low pressure making it's way from Iowa through the straits this evening will take the rain with it.

Widespread showers this morning combined with still-cold roads to make for a slick commute-and more than eighty school closings.

We'll see the rain showers start to wind down during the mid morning hours, and then diminish as we head into the afternoon. Winds will shift from the southeast to the southwest today, bringing in warm air that pushes many backyards into the 40s, if not hitting 50 degrees! Cloudy skies will stick around, however, and we may also see fog form overnight with lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s.

Your weekend will start with more mild temperatures and lots of cloud cover, and as we go throughout the day Saturday expect the temperature to fall even as we see more sunshine.

A low pressure, and it's accompanying cold front, passing will drop our Sunday highs into the 20s. Highs in the 20s and lows in the teens is where we'll remain as we head into the mid-week.
