TRAVERSE CITY -- Sharon Childs is celebrating her 43rd year as an employee with Michigan Blood.
Michigan Blood is holding a special blood drive in her honor. The Sharon Childs Tribute Day Blood Drive is Wednesday, March 27. It starts at 10:30am and ends at 6:00pm at the Michigan Blood Donor Center at 2575 Aero Park Drive.
Childs has collected 204,589 total units of blood since she started in Traverse City in 1994.
She moved to Traverse City to open the Michigan Blood office.
