GRAND TRAVERSE CO. -- Members of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians are getting ready to head to Lansing for tomorrow's State of the State address.
They want to tell Governor Snyder that they will no longer be quiet about the environment.
The movement is called "Idle No More" and started in Canada after a bill excluding Canadian tribes from giving input about land usage, was passed by the Prime Minister.
The bill also lessened the federal regulation on the land, meaning it could now be used for any purpose.
The movement has become international with tribes from across the country and state heading to Lansing to bring more awareness to the issue.
