LANSING -- A local mother is continuing her fight to change Michigan law to better protect young drivers.

Bonnie Raffaele's daughter Kelsey was killed in a car accident while talking on the phone.

Today the Sault Ste. Marie mother testified before a panel of State lawmakers on behalf of a bill that would ban new drivers from talking on their cell phones.

The bill, named Kelsey's law, made it out of the state but has been stalled in the House Transportation Committee ever since.
