No major storms of note across the Upper Great Lakes or Northern Michigan in the forecast this week which bodes well for those with travels.

However, a significant winter storm is expected to slam far Southeast Michigan including metropolitan Detroit along with Southern Indiana, much of Ohio, and New York State/Pennsylvania Wednesday afternoon through Thursday for those with travels in that direction.

While Northern Michigan was in the firing path of a big storm last week, the track of winter storms has shifted south into the Ohio/Tennessee River Valleys.

Snow will reach Southeast Michigan by mid-afternoon Wednesday clipping Detroit and perhaps Port Huron, with indications that Detroit may see upwards of a half foot of snow with Cleveland, Erie, and Buffalo looking at upwards of a foot or more.

So, those with travels in that direction Wednesday/Thursday should be aware of rough weather. Closer to home, a few snow showers Monday/Monday night could drop an inch or two of accumulation at most.

Temperatures this week remaining in the 20's for highs and teens for lows.
