Michael Moore will host a free showing of his Oscar-winning film "Bowling for Columbine" and a community discussion of the Connecticut school massacre in his adopted hometown of Traverse City.
TRAVERSE CITY, MI (AP) --
The 2002 documentary will run Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown State Theatre. Moore says he'll attend in person if his travel schedule permits, or else by Skype. Also on hand will be film producer Kathleen Glynn and co-producer Jeff Gibbs.

"Bowling for Columbine" focuses on gun violence in the U.S. It was inspired by the Columbine High School shootings in Colorado.

Moore says all sides will be heard and all ideas will be welcome as people talk about how to prevent tragedies such as last week's slaughter of 20 children and six adults in Newtown, Conn.
