TRAVERSE CITY -- The Rotary Charities of Traverse City announced today 21 grants totaling over $600,000 for local non-profits.

"These resources are a continuing gift to the region; and we are honored to support the work of this impressive array of nonprofits," said Al Bonney, Chairperson of the Rotary Charities of Traverse City. "Their work enriches us all and makes northwest Michigan a better place to live.

The grants were awarded based on applications received during the fall. The grand total for grants tallied $642,316.
