GRAND TRAVERSE CO. -- 16-year-old Kingsley boy was arrested and confessed to two breaking and entering incidents at the Fast Break store in Paradise Township.

The incidents happened on September 7 and October 9 of this year.

A fingerprint that was found at the scene of one of the breaking and entering was matched through an automated fingerprint system to find the match. The existing print had been entered in the AFIS system due to a prior malicious destruction of property complaint the suspect had been involved in.

A detective from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office obtained a confession from the teen.

The teenager took 90 packs of cigarettes, valuing several hundred dollars. The damage to property caused during the crimes tallies into the thousands.
