ANTRIM CO. -- Antrim County emergency crews spent much of Tuesday morning at the scene of a deadly car crash.

It happened around 6:45am on Old State Road near M-66.   Old State Road was shut down to traffic for more than three hours following the crash.

Investigators say a  26-year-old man lost control on the curve and hit several trees.   The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  A dog inside the car was rescued and taken to the Antrim County Animal Shelter.

Officials say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
