While Michigan's unemployment rate rose last month, regions in Northern Michigan all saw unemployment rates fall.

According to the State, the seasonally unadjusted jobless rate went up from 8.2 percent in September, to 8.3 percent in October.

The Upper Peninsula, however, fell to 6.8 percent.

The northeast region of the Lower Peninsula dropped one-tenth of a percent to 8.6 and the Northwest region fell to 7.5 percent.
