TRAVERSE CITY -- Proponents of a wet house continue to try to gather support for their homeless shelter plan in Traverse City.

This morning, addiction counselor Greg Stone spoke in front of the Downtown Development Authority.

Stone and other supporters want to open a shelter that would give chronic alcoholics a safe place to stay, and would allow drinking to continue.

People on both sides of the plan have strong opinions, but Stone says the project is about saving lives.
