Man arrested after threatening teenagers with knife

ALPENA -- A 55 year-old man is behind bars Saturday night in Alpena, after threatening a group of teenagers with a large knife.

Police say it happened just before 5:00pm Saturday night near the 200 Block of Miller Street. The suspect got into an argument with a group of teenagers on the sidewalk and after walked to his house to grab a knife.

He returned and threatened to stab the people. Police were called and the 55 year-old man was arrested and is currently in the Alpena County Jail.

He faces multiple charges including Felonious Assault, Armed with a Dangerous Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.
