ACME TOWNSHIP -- A drunk driver was arrested early Saturday morning after crashing his car into the waters of East Grand Traverse Bay.
The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office says it happened at 3:00 am Saturday morning. Authorities say an 18 year-old Traverse City man was driving on Dock Road in Acme Township, when he drove his car down the boat launch and into the water.
When emergency crews got to the scene there was no one in the car. Several hours later, authorities located the driver walking along US 31 North in Acme Township.
He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
