MANISTEE -- The Manistee Blacker Airport is in a tough situation after it's current air carrier, Aerodynamics Incorporated has announced it will terminate its service starting October 16th.

This means all charter flights between Manistee and Chicago Midway will be cancelled.

Aerodynamics Incorporated had been providing service to the Manistee Blacker Airport since last spring.

This was just months after the airport lost "Frontier" as it' carrier.

The Blacker Airport Director says "ADI" has not provided a reason for ending service between the 2 airports, and that the daily flight had a capacity for 50 passengers. On average, he says, the flights were about 50-percent full.

Right now, airport officials are worried about the short term. They say it's likely there will be a lapse in serve, but they don't know for how long.

They're looking at five different aircraft carriers as possible replacements.

The airport is notifying passengers and "full refunds" will be given to those affected by this situation.
