Parks and recreation worker charged with animal cruelty

The Parks and Recreation worker who was accused of neglecting horses was arraigned today.

David Prosch was charged with abandoning and cruelty to animals.

Prosch is accused of not properly feeding his two horses and causing a scar on one of the horses' nose, caused by leaving a halter on the mare for too long.

The horses were seized from the man's Buckley home and taken to Horse North Rescue where they are recovering.

Prosch, who is free on bond, could face a year in jail and fines if convicted.
