MARQUETTE, MICH. (AP) -- Authorities in Michigan's Upper Peninsula say they believe a juvenile is behind a string of threats last week that prompted evacuations and the cancellation of inbound flights to Sawyer International Airport.

The Mining Journal of Marquette reports the suspect was identified after a threat was called in Friday at Sawyer Medical Center. The juvenile's name wasn't released by the Marquette County sheriff's department. Authorities say he was held and taken for psychiatric treatment.

Sawyer International Airport is located about 10 miles south of Marquette in Marquette County's Sands Township. Authorities say a suspicious package found in a bathroom at Sawyer Medical Center was assembled to look like an explosive device. The airport also was searched.

Other threats were made Friday to Marquette General Hospital and Northern Michigan University.
