TRAVERSE CITY -- If Mary had a little lamb, whose fleece was white as snow, a chef named Phil chopped it up -- and put it in the show. So, with a little salt and pepper, and a big, sharp knife... Phil murray thinks you'll love this lamb that lost its little life!

"This is Mary's little lamb," said chef Phil Murray from Phil's on Front in Traverse City. "It didn't make it."

Phil is helping you create some of his favorite dishes in your own kitchen every week on UpNorthLive Tonight on ABC 29&8 at 6:30 p.m.

This week Phil is sharing his Lamb Chop Aurora recipe, which is named after his wife:

Ingredients:

One domestic lamb rack

Salt

Pepper

Olive oil

Arugula

Phil's cooking directions:

Cut lamb in pieces (approx. 3 lamb chops per person). Do not cut fat off yet, this gives the lamb chops its delicious flavor. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and cook in hot pan with olive oil. Sear on both sides for approximately 2 minutes each. Once coated, take out chops out. Put in 2 cups of arugula. Let wilt in pan with olive oil, wait about 15 seconds and place on plate. Place cooked chops on top, and garnish with pine nuts.

Bon appetite!

If you can't wait until next week for a recipe, stop in at Phil's On Front in downtown Traverse City. Phil's on Front is located at 236 East Front Street.
