Community on high alert after bank robbery

CADILLAC -- The Michigan State Police Department is putting more detectives on the bank robbery suspect search due to the amount of leads coming in on the case.

The Citizens Bank on North Mitchell near Lakeland Square Plaza was robbed around 10:15am Thursday.

Officials at the MSP Post in Cadillac tells 7&4 News the phone has been ringing constantly with tips and concerns from the community.  About five detectives are working on the case along with the FBI.

The suspect left the bank on foot.  He's described as 40-50 years old, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with writing on the front, he was also wearing a baseball cap and dark sunglasses.
