WILLIAMSBURG -- As the Detroit Lions gear up for their 2012 home opener on Sunday  a former Lion's legend was northern Michigan Saturday promoting the new season!

Detroit Lions former receiver Herman Moore spent all afternoon signing autographs at Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg.

Moore was the Detroit Lions' first-round draft pick in 1991, and went on to shatter virtually all of Detroit's receiving records. He played in 145 games during 11 seasons (1991–2001) in Detroit.

And while he ended his NFL career in New York playing for the Giants, he still lives in Detroit and cheers on his former home team.
