WEXFORD COUNTY -- A Kalamazoo man is dead after having a medical emergency while driving, causing him to crash his truck into a tree.

Wexford County Sheriff's Office says it happened at 1:00pm Saturday afternoon, near the Camp Cadillac Entrance on Boon Road in Haring Township.

Witnesses say they saw a truck begin swerving, veer off the road and hit a tree. The driver was pulled from the vehicle and rushed to the hospital where was later pronounced dead.

It appears he had a medical condition that caused him to crash.

The female passenger in the truck was not injured.
