LANSING (AP) -- Seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates were up last month in each of Michigan's 17 major labor market areas.

The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget says Thursday that the regional jobless rate increases ranged from 0.3 to 1.7 percentage points from June to July.

The Detroit-Warren-Livonia, Flint and Monroe areas showed the largest increases of more than one percentage point. Six other regions had jobless rates at or below the U.S. seasonally unadjusted rate of 8.6 percent.

Mackinac County had the lowest unemployment rate at 4.2 percent. Baraga County had the highest at 16.3 percent.

Wayne County, which includes Detroit, had an unemployment rate of 13.4 percent.

Unemployment rates fell in all 17 major labor market areas from July 2011 to July 2012.
