TRAVERSE CITY -- It's a wrap on the 2012 Traverse City Film Festival in northern Michigan, and this year organizers are giving it two thumbs up, thanks the hard work of thousands of volunteers.
Monday night, the founders of the Film Fest Michael Moore and John Robert Williams hosted a thank you party for the volunteers who dedicated their week to making the festival a success.
More than 800 of those volunteers enjoyed a post-festival picnic at Clinch park Monday evening, to unwind and reflect on the week of Hollywood fun.
Traverse City Film Festival Co-Founder John Robert Williams says, "it's the gasoline that drives the engine for this thing and we have so many people that do so many different things. We're all volunteers from the top down and so this is our celebration for all of us to just really come together one more time, say job well done. Everyone takes their job and position so seriously and they keep volunteering and coming back!"
