CLARE CO. -- Two men were arrested for buying the components for making the drug methamphetamine.

Clare County Sheriff's Detectives received a tip that a 40-year-old Jeremy Logic, of Evart, and a 27-year-old Dominic Collige, of Marion, were in the Farwell area buying the ingredients to make the drug.

After receiving the tip, the detectives were able to watch the suspects as they continued to make stops purchasing the necessary items. As the suspects were leaving the area, they were stopped and found to be in possession of methamphetamine components.

Both men were held in the Clare County Jail. If convicted, they could face up tp 20 years in prison. That is the same penalty as operating a meth lab.

Logic has a prior conviction for maintaining a meth lab in 2004 from Clare County.

Detective Sergeant Michael Coon said in a press release today that there have been a large number of individuals from the Evart/Osceola County area coming to Clare County to purchase meth components. Detective Coon said that they will continue to investigate the situation as they gather more information.
